Last month's demolition of a 489-key hotel in Tampa will enable construction of the Westshore Interchange to move forward in 2024. The Florida Department of Transportation leveled the DoubleTree Hotel on West Cypress Street to accommodate a construction staging area. FDOT has owned the almost 9 acre property since 2015.
