Ambassador/Membership
Committee Chair: Lori Rodriguez, Kingery & Crouse, P.A. CPAs
Our number one source of new members is our active base of satisfied members. Join this committee to help us recruit other businesses to join the Westshore Alliance. Focus on membership recruitment through a variety of activities including prospect functions, membership drives, business expositions, identifying new tenants in Westshore and other recruitment efforts. The Ambassadors welcome new members at monthly luncheons and other activities, maintain ongoing contact with designated members and assist with various membership initiatives.

Golf
Committee Chair: Vacant
The annual golf tournament is held in our own backyard at the Rocky Point Golf Course. Join us and help organize this annual event-- a major Westshore Alliance fundraiser. This special event provides members the opportunity to network in a casual setting with Westshore's key decision makers.

Government/Regulatory Affairs
Committee Chair: Dan Woodward, Highwoods Properties
The government/regulartory affairs committee monitors local and state government issues/legislation that could affect Westshore area businesses and provides feedback to elected officials and administrative staff.

Hotel Committee
Committee Chair: Ron Alicandro, Westin Tampa Bay
Now that the Westshore Multi-Purpose Conference Facility study is complete, the committee will focus on how and where the facility is located, financed and operated. The committee will also respond to public agencies and others on issues or actions that affect Westshore hotels.

Master Development Plan
Committee Chair: Randy Coen, Coen & Company
Vice-Chair: Keith Greminger
Working closely with the City of Tampa Planning Department to guide growth and development in the Westshore Business district, this committee is very active in the evolution and implementation of the Westshore master plan. Their ultimate goal is to enhance the District through consistent and aesthetically appealing design standards and streetscape. The group also finds sources of funding to implement recommended projects. Current efforts include demonstration landscaping and signage project, Adopt-A-Median and Cypress Point Park.

Programming
Committee Chair: Brandon Marshall, Marriott Corporation
The programming committee is responsible for the strategic direction of Westshore Alliance member events. The committee's role will be to assist the Alliance in evaluating, developing and promoting Alliance events.

Public Art
Committee Chair: Kelly Figley, Tampa International Airport
Primary committee goal is to encourage beautification of the Westshore District through the use of public art. Committee identifies opportunities and secures funding for public art projects.

Restaurant Committee
Committee Chair: David Trainer, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
A new event initiative for the Westshore Business District will be hosting a “Taste of Westshore.” There are other Taste of events in Tampa and the planning and implementation of a similar Westshore event will be the responsibility of the committee. The committee will also respond to public agencies and others on issues or actions that effect Westshore restaurants.

Safety & Security
Committee Chair: Mike Melhorn, International Secruity Mgmt. Group
The Crime Watch Committee works closely with the Tampa Police Department to decrease criminal activity and increase public safety awareness in the Westshore Business district. They implement and support a variety of initiatives including coordination of security efforts between members and police, tracking criminal activity (SCAN Program) to alert members of any developing patterns and the Business Crime Awareness Program.

Transportation
Committee Chair: Ron Gregory, URS Corporation
Transportation is consistently the number one concern for members of the Westshore Alliance. This Committee monitors, identifies and seeks funding for transportation improvements to ease traffic congestion in Westshore and on major corridors leading into the District.
